Whilst
competition is generally good for everyone, we'd just like to point
out a few things about our printed chocolate products, so that our
customers don't get them mixed up with some of the inferior products
on the market that we certainly do not want to be associated with
Whilst
we are usually very competitive on price, and we know cost is
important, so is quality and taste. Your clients will not
thank you for giving them something that tastes terrible or looks
disappointing and nothing like the product you thought you were
buying from a competitor's website. Watch out for website Photoshop trickery
- buyer beware!
Whilst
the table below is is not exhaustive, it should bring up a few
questions you should ask before considering purchasing printed
chocolate products
from another company. If
you don't get satisfactory answers, walk away!

|
Products made in Australia or imported?
|
All
of our products are made in
Australia. We are members of the Australian Made, Australian Grown
Campaign
|
Imported? Chocolates brought in from overseas can be cheaper, but usually for a good
reason. All of our chocolates are made locally and cater to
Australian tastebuds. American or Chinese chocolate? No thanks! Shouldn't you be supporting Australian businesses?
|
|
How
does the chocolate taste?
|
We
always have samples available for everyone to try when we exhibit at
trade shows, so you can taste for yourself and confirm it tastes as
good as it looks! We are always complemented on taste. We only ever
use quality chocolate, including Nestle, Cadbury, Chocolatier and Belgian
blends on selected lines
|
Compound?
Whilst
taste is subjective and you wouldn't expect us to complement a
competitor, we'd strongly suggest getting a sample before ordering a
large amount. You will be thankful you did!
|
|
Printing done in-house or outsourced?
|
In-house by our own staff using dedicated confectionary printers
|
If
outsourced, what's the quality control like?
|
|
Specialist or just another product in the range?
|
Specialist - printed chocolates are our core product, we've been
doing them for 11 years.
Our
other products have been added recently to complement these
|
If part
of a large range of promotional products, how well does the company
really know their chocolates? Do they actually have any involvement
in making them?
|
|
How
long in business?
|
Since
2000 in UK, 2006 in Australia
|
New
business? Do they really know what they are doing?
|
|
Member
of any professional associations?
|
Member
of APPA - Australasian Promotional Products Association - the only
professional trade association specifically for the promotional
products and promotional marketing industry in the Australasian
region
|
No? Are
their products up to standard?
Where's your quality assurance or comeback if things go wrong?
|
|
What's
the printing surface made of?
|
Soft
fondant icing - tasty on it's own, doesn't spoil the taste of the
chocolate and gives a nice bright print
|
Typically brittle icing or rice paper
Look
out for false claims of printing directly onto chocolate (chocolate
is non-porous and does not easily absorb ink). Whilst it is
possible, is your product printed this way? See below
|
|
Who
are your clients?
|
Many of
our clients and their comments are listed
here. We list them to allow our
customers to see we have a high quality client list with many
well known business names. These top companies trust us, you can too!
|
Small
or no
client list?
Lack of
clients, or lack of pleased clients to give referrals?
|
|
Website
photos
|
Apart
from obvious exceptions, real un-retouched photos are used on our website
wherever possible. What you see is
what you get!
|
Photoshop? Superimposing a random logo onto a blank product does not
give you a realistic image of a finished product. Why aren't real photos used? Is it
because the actual product will disappoint? See below
